1. If the ADF control is in the auto mode, pressing F1-cycle will cause the table and/or saddle to cycle until the appropriate dog activates the program selected proximity switch. If a dog already activates the proximity switch, the program goes to Step 2 without cycling the table/saddle into position.
2. The grinding wheel goes to the program zero or home value if it is not already there.
The second program of the ADF is a basic plunge program. The control feeds the grinding wheel to a specified depth at a programmed feedrate. The plunge program does not require any proximity switches to operate. The setup page is similar to that of the index program.
From the zero, or home position, the wheel will go down high speed at the rapid value, and it will hold its position for one second and begin to feed down the total distance at the programmed feedrate. At the total distance the wheel will remain at the programmed dwell amount timed in seconds, at which the wheel will go to the home position at rapid velocity.
The ADF Index Cycle Operates as Follows:
1. Pressing F1-CYCLE causes the grinding wheel to go to the program zero or home value if it is not already there.
2. From the program zero or home position, the grinding wheel is moved down to the rapid value at high speed.
